Summer Roundup 2021

It was a busy and productive summer for Tamarak Equestrian! Our green team gained some valuable experience from competing in the Silver Series at Caledon Equestrian Park. Harlequin and Elena Grande started in the hack division, showing tremendous improvement and qualifying for playoffs in 10th place overall, and also moved up to cross rails for the last set of shows. Crown Ridge Hallmark didn't get to show as much as we would have liked, but she did earn her first reserve championships in both the cross rails and puddle hunters with Julia Hudon, and thanks to Kate Lennon-Davey, we were able to fit in an extra cross rail show. Avery Phelan and R Best Kept Secret worked very hard this summer and earned their first reserve championship in the children's pony division, and Nash helped Avery qualify for playoffs in the B equitation in 10th place overall. Kingsland returned home from his summer cross rail lease just in time to attend the last 2 silver shows and qualify for playoffs in both the children's pony and medium pony divisions, in 6th and 3rd place respectively.

Quinn handled her first trip to Angelstone and the busy environment of playoffs very well for her age and put in a good showing. Avery made it to the final cut for the B equitation out of 46 riders and just narrowly missed a ribbon. The top performer of the week was undoubtedly our beloved King, who won all 3 classes with Avery in the medium pony division to take home the championship!

As if that wasn't enough showing, Halle recently attended the Lindsay Exhibition for the welsh and sport pony show and came home with top honours across all her classes - 1st place section B mare, 1st place section A/B welsh pleasure under saddle, 2nd place welsh pleasure stake (all sections), 2nd place sport pony hunter suitability under saddle, and 3rd place sport pony mare.

Lastly, we would like to congratulate training and sales grad Goldhills Arresting Charm on a great showing at USEF Pony Finals - 18th over fences, 23rd model, and 21st overall! Way to go Finley and Charm!
